Due to the pandemic situation, a huge number of the global population was forced to change their way of living, to the manner of doing things. In this case, to teaching and studing remotely.
It is understandable that everyone has not the same level of skills to learn rapidly and adapt to new technologies for some factors, for instance, the development of the country where the population live.
That’s why Microsoft made an initiative to prepare teachers and students from South Africa to the new model of classes using the platform Microsoft Teams. “It can be challenging for the many educational institutions moving to remote or distance learning, which have previously never needed to do so, to truly leverage collaborative tools in the most effective way for learning” (News Center Middle East & Africa, 2020)
This strategy focused on making the transition easier for educational institutions and students, giving them the basis to keep teaching and learning but through a screen with confidence.
And, the best part of it is that the company released a free version of the platform, so any school can get access to this and keep their academic activities and of course subscribe for free to the training on how to use Teams.
